The Six Healing Sounds & Five Gate Breathing
The Six Healing Sounds + Five Gate Breathing Qi Gong for the Mind, Heart and Spirit
Qi Gong for the Mind, Heart, and Spirit
About the Workshop
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, mental and physical health problems are caused by energetic imbalances in the organs and meridians. In today’s hectic world, one of the most common sources of imbalance is chronic stress. When stress is sustained over long periods, the organs become exhausted and their function is impaired. This causes stagnation of energy, or qi, which makes the body more susceptible to illness, and the mind more prone to anxiety and depression.
The Six Healing Sounds
The Six Healing Sounds harmonize organ function, balance the flow of qi, and soothe the physical and emotional consequences of chronic stress. When practiced regularly, the Six Healing Sounds can:
Balance energy and improve organ function
Open the throat, improve breathing and increase oxygen in the bloodstream
Detoxify the body and promote longevity
The Five Gate Breathing
The Five Gate Breathing is a Daoist breathing practice that focuses on building qi in the lower abdomen, or Dantien. This exercise promotes overall wellness and is a precursor to deeper forms of meditative Qi Gong.
